The Courses custom post type provides a special content type specifically for sharing WSU learning and development courses. It provides a block template to manage the layout of Course posts. It also provides a customize archive template with integrated search.

How to Use

Manage Courses from the admin area in the Courses section. Add and edit Courses exactly as you would standard posts.

  1. When you create a new Course the block editor will automatically populate the Course template, with a title, description area, enroll button, and more.
  2. Fill in the sections of the template that you need.
    1. The title is required.
    2. Make sure to add the enrollment URL to the Enroll button block or remove it if you don’t need it.
    3. Add the course documents as standard links to the list block (where it says “Write list…”), or remove the list block if you don’t need it.
    4. Leave the date, location, presenter, online course URL, and course video URL fields empty if you don’t need them.
  3. Add desired Course Tags and Learning Program(s) in the document settings sidebar.
  4. Save draft or publish after previewing your changes.

There are no additional options for the Courses post type. You should make sure to use the specified template.
