Courses (Post Type)
The Courses custom post type provides a special content type specifically for sharing WSU learning and development courses. It provides a block template to manage the layout of Course posts. It also provides a customize archive template with integrated search.
How to Use
Manage Courses from the admin area in the Courses section. Add and edit Courses exactly as you would standard posts.
- When you create a new Course the block editor will automatically populate the Course template, with a title, description area, enroll button, and more.
- Fill in the sections of the template that you need.
- The title is required.
- Make sure to add the enrollment URL to the Enroll button block or remove it if you don’t need it.
- Add the course documents as standard links to the list block (where it says “Write list…”), or remove the list block if you don’t need it.
- Leave the date, location, presenter, online course URL, and course video URL fields empty if you don’t need them.
- Add desired Course Tags and Learning Program(s) in the document settings sidebar.
- Save draft or publish after previewing your changes.
There are no additional options for the Courses post type. You should make sure to use the specified template.
